it's so interesting going from the phenomenal album of Is This It? where it explores what it's like becoming an actual adult and leaving college and highschool and all of that youthful culture behind while still finding a place for you to be in the world to The New Abnormal where it's detailing what life is like when you're matured and settled into life and though it's not "normal" it's life. Reality Awaits gives me the feeling it will just be a mirror of Julian's midlife crisis after he went back on everything that was said in the previous album especially after he cheated on his wife and mother of his children

I get the criticism but saying it’s soulless is just wrong. Like just because it has autotune doesn’t make it less effort. The harmonies are great, the guitar effects and parts are charming. Maybe the only bad thing is the lyrics imo, they could’ve been a bit more intuitive
