@molliecampsie: 5 things I THINK we got right: 1. Building single beds into the restricted height eaves (limited height is only an issue where standing, and on a bed you are…lying down) 🛏️ 💤 2. Turning an unused bookshelf into the guest experience mini bar (snacks, teas, coffee machine, all the kitchenware and we may do something sickening in the form of house-branded slippers) 🫖 🍪 🍫 ☕ 3. Building a half height shower wall for shower/toilet separation and providing additional area for the taps 🚿 4. Resurfacing the plaster walls and ceilings with Tongue & Groove; leaning into the cosy tree-top feel of the bedrooms and providing some texture to a plain surface 🌳 5. I chose carpet - cheaper, more sound insulating for guests/kids upstairs and again a lot cosier. But we had to go with something textured to make it look more elevated than just beige carpet. 💌 Crazy we bought the house exactly a year ago! 😵‍💫
