I hate the finish on my windowsills but under all the layers of paint it tested positive for lead. Id happily do all the correct prep but can't due to having a young baby. How would you go forward?

the secret to a high gloss finish, warm the paint up, it makes it easier to apply and levels out to a mirrored finish, but good preparation is key.
