I scored in the high 90s on the asvab and yes, I had recruiters from the army, navy and air force hound me my entire senior year. they promised me all sorts of things. whatever job I wanted, fast track to the officer corp the works. I graduated in 2004.

oke I live in the netherlands, and I saw a post of my old primary school (our school system different so it basically Kids 4-12) of the dutch military they gave a presention to them I asked my younger brother about it and he was like yea they made it look cool and shit. does anyone else out of america have this? because my old school was always a bit weird...

I remember we all had to take this ASVAB senior year (it was year two of the Iraq War). But for those of us in the AP and Advanced classes, we got a visit from the State Department...

My son’s district required they take the asvab and after he scored highest they constantly hounded him on his phone without my knowledge until he told me

I wasn’t gifted but at my low income school military was literally everywhere. I had classes and even a club where the military was invited to give speeches and with that, I would see them roam the hallways at least once every two months….very weird experience

Not made up. I was a gifted kid and ended up at an alternative high school and my ASVAB scores prompted that conversation. And I graduated in 1998

100%, I took the ASVAB just to get out of class and so many branches HOUNDED me for my score; I knew I couldn’t handle the fitness standard so I joked with them and they said w my grades I just had to make it through boot camp and I wouldn’t have to worry

I used to work at my community colleges Records and Admissions office. and last year a military recruiter came in trying to ask for "a list of students who dropped out".... this list doesn't exist anyways but yeah...

I went to a public high school in southwestern Indiana between 2007-2010. military members came to share information about enlisting several times while went there. I did terrible in high school because of many factors other than my intelligence. the times we were sent to the auditorium for this was while i was in a remediation class or some kind of 1st level class. not every student had to attend. she is not making this up.

they spent a year trying to get me in but alas miss Mary Jane and I had paperwork at the count house so they couldn't get me, but they did get 25% of my graduating glass (and yes they had ALOT of posters in out school for the military)
