@nancyychristine: Rage, no sex drive, mood changes… all perimenopause symptoms, and I was still dismissed by my doctor. No one even told me I was in perimenopause. This is what should’ve happened vs what I actually got. #perimenopause #libido #hormones #gaslighting
Oh honey, this is the story of so many of us. The rage is real. The loss of libido is real. The mood swings are real. And being told it's "just stress" or "maybe you need an antidepressant" is infuriating. You deserved better. We all did. 🫂💕

I got no labs and handed a prescription for Effexor. That was 20 years ago. Finally got estrogen and progesterone 10 years later and testosterone 2 years ago at 59. Sadly libido has still not returned 😢

My regular obgyn doesn’t do any meds for menopause. I don’t think they get a kickback from the medications. You have to find a doctor that specializes in hormone therapy.

My wife got the same thing with "normal range". Normal for who?! I asked found a HRT doc in our area and asked if she would go. She did and started HRT. No more hot flashes, outbursts or anger, itchy scalp, insomnia, etc. And we are at each other nightly.

This is why I started seeing a functional provider because it may be normal for women to experience this but it doesn’t have to be normally to go through it. There is treatment and we deserve it!

My primary Dr and Gyn did not remotely suggest menopause. Let’s look at anxiety medication as an answer. I found info myself from a friend. Absolutely ridiculous

Beans will help. The soluble fiber regulates your hormones and carries toxins out of the body. Too good to be true? Too simple? Just try.

I can do one better ! My male obgyn told me “ welp, you’re just gonna have to do it “! Wow ok, thanks, that advice is trash!… refused to even talk about drawing labs. Needless to say, he’s not my doctor anymore 😂😂😂
