My wife and I watched this tonight for the first time on HBO and... yeah man, your review absolutely nailed it. Wonderful, freaky, exhilarating, and wild from start to finish. Loved this movie!

To me, this movie felt like an old-school, side-scrolling, beat ‘em up game in film format. Like, as I was watching it I kept imagining a “Slaughterhouse” meets “Castlevania” meets “Streets of Rage” style game.

I've said it a dozen times, the fight choreography is the best part of this film. It felt messy, it felt unpredictable, it felt clumsy. It was a street fight, not a martial arts tournament.
