I bet a Peggy Martin climbing rose would do fantastic in your yard! They’re one of the only plants that survived hurricane Katrina. Louisiana gets just as hot as Florida in the summer.

don't do lantana!! it grows out of control and it's so hard to get rid of. You also have to clear out the underbrush of it and it's a real pain.

Find yourself some Plumerias other than the hard freeze we had in January. They’re super easy and they’re beautiful when they bloomed. They do look like sticks in the winter though but still worth it. They grow into beautiful trees so don’t plant them close to the house.

Always buy small plants. And you don’t need them big everything grow fast in Florida.

Lantanas are annual in my area but I had to deadhead them so they didn’t go to seed. When I kept on them they lasted all summer into fall

I’m in Georgia but we use lantana in our spots that get full sun. They’re pretty drought resistant and come back for us every year. The butterflies and hummingbirds love it!
