Like 94% of my closet is fast fashion from like years ago, but I’m trying more diy and thrifting even tho I’m not allowed to diy often and get in some trouble whenever I do. And my grandma doesn’t like me getting a lot of stuff from thrift stores cause it’s not “mainstream”. She also doesn’t trust online businesses sadly (unless it’s like Amazon) or small businesses. Idk how to avoid fast fashion when I’m only allowed to shop at big shops 98% of the time like Walmart and target.

My mom unfortunately sometimes buys from fast fashion places so I wear those clothes for as long as I can until I either don’t want them (donated) or I literally can’t wear them because idk they’re like torn beyond repair or smth

Never followed trends and people used to get annoyed with me or think I’m ‘weird’. Whenever I outgrew clothes I’d donate them to charity or give to friends. I only throw out clothes if they’re not wearable. 😊

I feel like the initial video is kinda coping though acting like people trend hopping buying stuff is bad, like no one is just throwing out their 1000$ jeans from 2004 or whatever just cause they aren’t a trend anymore, they just get resold and since they’re good quality last for way longer and don’t have and child labour involvement
