Eugenics is when you have selective breeding to eliminate undesirable traits. Hair color, eye color, gender.. etc. I can't think of a single instance in 8+ years of volunteering at a women's center ever assisting with an abortion because people were scared of any of those things. Choosing abortion when a diagnosis of an extreme disability tends to come down to financial inability to care for or give that child the resources they would need. Or not wanting to make that child suffer. If an ability to recognize that certain physical abnormalities will make a child's quality of life miserable and deciding to end it while it's still practically brain dead is eugenics. Then sure. It’s not eugenics literally at all. People don’t get abortions because they don’t like their baby, they do it for a plethora of personal reasons. Poor financial situation, SA, health complications, accidental pregnancy/failed birth control, ect. Eugenics is selective breeding in humans, and it was part of notsee Germany’s plan to make white skin, blonde hair, and blue eyes the norm. You are comparing a personal choice relevant to one mother to a movement of hatred used to eradicate a whole group of people. PLEASE actually do research.
