@thefootcollective: Dynamic Balance Training With @ai526ai Many balance exercises focus on holding still positions, like single-leg standing. While static balance is important, it’s not enough on its own. So when do falls actually happen? Most falls don’t occur while standing still. They happen during movement—when we: • Shift our weight • Turn our head • Move our eyes away from the direction of travel That’s why balance training should go beyond stillness. It needs to include weight shifts, head movements, and eye movements. Practice shifting your weight in multiple directions—forward and backward, side to side, diagonally, and with rotation—to better reflect real-life demands. If your balance training only involves standing still, consider adding dynamic movements. Your body needs to learn how to stay balanced while moving, not just in quiet positions. Static balance matters. But dynamic balance is where real change happens. Just like strength or mobility, balance is trainable at any stage of life—it’s never too late to begin. All of these dynamic movements taken from @thefootcollective ’s SoleMate Training Program, which comes free with the purchase of SoleMate. Their Foot Restoration Program also covers dynamic movements without SoleMate.
