as a apprentice NGL it ain't worth it put up with getting payed less than working at woolies for way harder work most places get treated like shit for 4 years to then make somewhat decent money

some tafes make you do work experience for you pre apprenticeship to get it signed off but mine didn’t make me

in year 11 doing pre apprenticeship with tafe and one day a week work experience, couple months in and ive learnt alot so far and can do a decent amnt of tasks on my own. (Junction boxes, rough ins, data, power outlets) I've got all of next year to find a company to host my apprenticeship and still gaining as much work experience as I can. hopefully a couple hundred hours will make a difference when applying for my apprenticeship

I just did my pre apprenticeship during year 10 and then did about a month of work experience and basically spam called every company in Brisbane and within 2 months I landed my apprenticeship and now I’m going on third year with a company Ute

100 p still the way too go about it if your in school do the cert 2, gets your foot in the door with a company and when doing the hiring process, you can put the boss as the reference on your cv and if your not a bad bloke and seem keen your pretty much in.
