@ktbunton: They made me feel like my body was broken when in reality it was working perfectly. My PCOS symtoms were trying to warn me that my health was struggling. Once I made the mindset shift from “trying to get pregnant” to “trying to get healthy” the whole game changed. Conceiving spontaneously after struggling with PCOS for years trying to conceive was only part of the mission. The other part was getting to the bottom of my reproductive health issues and learning how to care for my body from now moving forward. Absolutely nothing against IVF, it’s a miracle and I’m so grateful to have the option. But in my case I was able to rectify with lifestyle modifications and I’m so glad I took that route because I’ll be able to reap those benefits health wise long term 🫶🏽 Not all PCOS cases need medical or pharmaceutical intervention - I wish the specialists would tell us this but sadly women’s healthcare is still far behind where it needs to be. Did anyone else conceive naturally with PCOS? #pcos #ttcjourney #IVF #findingoutimpregnant #pregnancytest
This is amazing, congratulations! Out of interest, was the reason you weren’t falling pregnant due to you not ovulating before? I hope you don’t mind me asking (I was also diagnosed with PCOS 6 years ago) 💗

Sometimes it’s best to listen to them. I tried naturally a year, it was horrible and stressful. Did ivf, fell pregnant first go and found IVF to be way less stressful I wish I had just done it from the start

I respect your journey, I’m so happy for you guys. Please be careful not to be giving out health advice to the larger audience based on your journey alone. People should seek their doctors or health pracs advice based on their personal circumstance and decide whether or not to listen to the advice based on what they are going through.

PCOS journeys really aren’t one-size-fits-all… this is such a reminder that every body responds differently 💛

I conceived naturally with PCOS. I lost weight (only a few kgs) and got pregnant. But now I’m back in the trenches now with secondary infertility (hubby has sperm count issues too) and shifting the weight is harder. 2.5 years later and I am feeling like IVF is the option as I’m getting older (almost 39). Keen to hear what you changed to help boost your fertility.

I have pcos and i ovulate twice. Once after period ends and once after 2 weeks when my period ends. I always ended up pregnant the time I ovulated after my period ended

Honestly I wish I would’ve known what I know now before doing ivf. We’ve been able to get pregnant on our own twice and sometimes if feels like ivf was a waste

I just wanna say that everyone’s journey is very different with PCOS. And we tried to get pregnant for 3 years with PCOS and male factor issues and it was not working for us. It just felt like it was going to take too long to do it naturally, so we did end up doing IVF. Here to say it’s okay if you decide to go the IVF route to move things along if it makes sense for your body, mental health, and finances. I promise you IVF is not as bad as it’s made out to be. I see so many videos on here talking about getting to the root cause of things, which is really important, but I feel like it can also be very lengthy, especially if you are at an older age like my husband and I are. I honestly wish we had done IVF sooner.

YES YES YES i haven’t gotten pregnant yet but am in the journey of lifestyle changes and am seeing so many changes in the way i feel with PCOS. It’s so crazy to me that doctors answers are just medicine/procedures and no one told me about all the things i could do before taking those steps.
