@instantloss: Did you know that Hashimoto’s thyroiditis and hypothyroidism can cause increased breast size and density due to hormonal imbalances, specifically high prolactin levels and estrogen dominance? These conditions can cause weight gain, fluid retention, and benign breast changes (like fibrocystic changes). Thyroid hormone imbalances also impact estrogen levels, influencing breast tissue and elevated levels of the hormone prolactin, which can cause breast enlargement. Hypothyroidism lowers metabolism, causing weight gain and edema (water retention), which can affect breast size as well. So while we’re focusing on getting rid of the water we are also going to focus on getting my thyroid working optimally again.
