They learned the at-fault car fled. It stopped in the ACME lot at 912 West Bay Avenue. Falkowski spotted a 2013 Nissan Altima with heavy front damage. He talked to the driver, 21-year-old Victoria. Falkowski asked for her papers. She handed over only insurance. Victoria said she came from a friend's funeral that day. He smelled booze on her breath. He saw signs of drunkenness too. She puked outside the car. Then she confessed to downing a few shots at the funeral home before driving. Falkowski called for help. Sergeant Boyle arrived. They decided to run sobriety tests.
