This flight had Kyu Sakamoto on board. It crashed less than 20 miles from where I live now in Gunma Japan. An American air-force helicopter witnessed the accident and offered to land and help to see if there were survivors. The Japanese government told them to mind their own business. The Japanese rescue gathered up but then the sun began to set so they decided to go the next morning since they assumed there were no survivors. When they arrived the next day they found survivors, but many who had survived died during the night due to not being rescued earlier.
