@jst_nmb: Books are mirrors, that is true, They reflect depths I hide from view. Each fragile page, or whispered line, Reveals a hidden part of mine. I thought I read to drift away, To lose myself in words that stay, But every story pulls me back, To all the pieces that I lack. The ink feels heavy in my chest, Like wounds that never seem to rest. In other lives, I start to see, The parts of them that live in me. No tale is lost, no pain unknown, Each page I turn feels like my own. In all those lives I wandered through, I found a grief I always knew. #poetry #quote
