When I got out, I didn’t know anything about the VA 30 years later my body started giving up on stuff that I injured while on active duty. finally a friend told me to go to the VA hospital and register for care and only then did I find out about the disability and education benefits. Now I’m at 100% P&T, my wife has champ VA as a supplemental and I now help veterans around here see through all the red tape can explain to them that it’s part of the contract👊

My boyfriend is 100% disabled and I think he gets great pay from it. I tell him on one hand I’m jealous he gets that but at the same time, I’m not because he deserves it. He didn’t pay for his service with his life but he sure paid for it with his body. He’s broken now and can’t do anything he used to love doing. No amount of money provided can take away the pain, physical, mental and emotional. I honestly don’t even think it’s enough

The reason the VA and Social Security disability have nothing to do with each other, is that the VA disability is not just to determine your rate of compensation, but it is also to determine the veterans ABILITY for continued or further military service. No one ever talks about that part of it. Recruiter's office has always been open and will always be open. Thank you for your service brother! 🫡

This is how I explained it to my civilian coworkers: "They broke me, and when I have something come up and I don't have any sick time at work I take no pay for my job. My COMPENSATION payment every month helps when I don't get to work because of my Disability."

I’m at 100% T&P too but i choose not to work because of the constant pain im always in. My wife makes more than enough AND it gives me time focus on my veteran advocacy

It is not enough. Coming from a military family and seeing the aftermath of my family coming back from war. You deserve so much more. Thank you from the deepest bottom of my heart for your sacrifice and service. ❤️

I am 100% disabled because of my military service and those civilians that think that I do not deserve me VA disability compensation do not understand the symptoms that I now endure on a daily basis.

If they only knew the pain we still endure daily, they'd know it is actually worth more than what we get!

I can’t speak for anyone else, but I would gladly give up my 100% P&T if my injuries (mentally and physically) would magically be taken away. Like you said there are no lines at the recruiting centers. As your brother in arms thank you for your service my friend.

Thank you for your service!! People don't realize it's hard for some veterans to get that service connection rating. I'm a POA for a veteran friend it's been 3 years fighting to get his rating up. VFW has helped us a lot!!

I went to college was able to work for approximately 3 years, my disability progressed to the point I can only stand/sit for a short time. I served 24 years this was not how I saw my retirement going 😔

saw yiur video and this one on yiutube, NickyMGTV. female vet supporting your stance. People hear disability and think civilian SS disability. the word makes it sound poorly. compensation needs to be used more. I am thankful for finally getting 100% after 18 years of doctor appointments with and through the VA together there. stay safe!
❤️🤍💙
