In oct 24, my ferritin was 6, dr prescribed different iron tablets and then eventually liquid iron. In Nov 25, it was 16. Got blood tests first booked in for next week. If it isn’t much higher I’m going to insist the dr refer me as i feel like im being ignored and fobbed off. I’m 47 and so sick of hair loss and brain fog. Dr said my ferritin was normal and I said it’s not optimal for hair growth and she didn’t reply

Had low ferritin for years. It was at 26 a few weeks ago and I went private for 500mg Ferinject infusion. 4 weeks later and still very fatigued. My B12/ vitamin D / Folate were all good. My TSH was 3.17 - could that be the problem?

The trouble is finding a doctor to listen. I have low iron stores occasionally they are borderline and I’m in and out of anemia, can’t take iron tablets and the doctor just says oh it’s borderline you’ll be fine

Hemoglobin 145 but ferritin 30 before… got an iron infusion due to celiac 2 years ago. Now hemoglobin 142 and ferritin 202. Honestly, I feel like I could climb a tree backwards at this point💪🤣

i’ve had 2 infusions in dec/jan but ferritin as of this last week is back down to 25, iron 5. saw hematology and i’m supposed to just take iron pills. likely due to chronic menstrual dysfunction but i feel like giving up lmao

I have never thought about the impact that iron can have in health (including mental health) until my levels were low and I thought I had depression or something...
