Netflix came in masquerading as a budget alternative to dvd rental/purchase, waited til physical media was obsolete, then jacked up the prices. Same as Spotify.

It’s insane that even under legal pressure in a courtroom Netflix couldn’t cite a reason (rising production costs, higher quality video etc). Or was it because *at the time of the increase* they didn’t explain the reason?
