@grammarslammer: Replying to @hxneybun14 Began is the simple past and Begun is the past participle of the verb begin in English. #grammar #englishlesson #teachersoftiktok #tenses #tensesinenglish
Can you help with "spin", please? I've always thought it correct to say, eg, "He span round in his chair and stood up," yet many, many times (probably a majority) it's written "spun". That always sounds wrong to me; it should surely be kept for "After he had spun round he stood up." Am I right?

Also, text and texted. Why does ‘he texted’ me sound so wrong to my ears but whenever I do research I am told ‘text’ is not the past tense of ‘text’. Aka, I am secretly hoping you say ‘yes, you are right and the rest of the world are wrong!’ 😂 Not really, I can accept I may be wrong 🤔🤣

What about take and bring? I would say ‘I will bring that with me’ other say ‘I will take that with me’ when planning to take something from where you are to somewhere else in the future.
