Episodes one and two of season 5 of ‘The Boys’ were released today (8 April), and during a scene featuring Ashley Barrett (Colby Minifie) and Sister Sage (Jessica Bradley), Barrett reveals that Roan had been arrested under Homelander’s regime. “It’s just that we’ve already purged the CIA, DOJ, FBI, FTC, CDC, EPA, DHS, HHS, and USPS. We deported the nation’s nannies and gardeners, we arrested Chappell Roan and Tyler, The Creator, and they cancelled Coachella. But now he wants to detain thousands of American citizens?” she says. Season 5 is the final season of ‘The Boys’, a show which began back in 2019 and has reflected a myriad of real-life American political issues within its satirical superhero world over the years it’s been on air.
