If parents are abusive, a kids behavior is going to be really unpredictable… you shouldn’t ever be okay with hitting your kid, especially if you can’t remember how many times you hit him.

I have 5 kids and am consistently overwhelmed. My kids all follow me around too and I don't get breaks. Guess what? It's never once crossed my mind to hit my children. They've stolen candy too & lost out on the next time we had candy for it. It really isn't hard to be a decent parent.

The belt on top of the fridge?? That’s there for regular abuse. If you have a belt that “doesn’t fit anyone” you toss it. You don’t just store it on top of the fridge.

Not sure if anyone else caught what the nurse said about one of the brothers. She said he self harmed and always smelled like pee and would give him a blanket🥺🥺🥺

There’s a difference between spanking your child because they were being disrespectful and not following directions and hitting your child to the point that they have marks because they are being disrespectful and not following directions. As soon as you leave a mark, it’s abuse!

You NEVER discipline while angry. (not that spanking/hitting is discipline. my opinion, you can have yours). But if you are angry, you give yourself timeout first, calm down, then address the situation. Unless it's an emergency, it doesn't need immediate response.

“i dont get a break” no. no you dont when you choose to have children. I was with a pos who had custody of his son but like i said hes a pos so i was always just me and his son- i never as much raised my voice. we were both victims of his father. i protected that sweet boy more than myself. i understood why he would act the way he did sometimes- he was a baby neglected by his parents. I was up at all hours of the night washing his sheets and all that from wetting the bed, id give him a shower and put him in my bed to sleep with me while his bed was being cleaned. I will never understand doing anything BUT protecting a child….
