Bark tends to be full of wind-blown grit and dulls a knife. I highly recommend finding or making a sharp rock for scraping. Cuts down on knife sharpening. Even better is a separate knife or scraper made from sharpening some metal with a rougher edge. A rough edge can make fiber better.

unrelated but I started growing a deer food plot mix for my meat rabbits, as well as comfrey, marigolds, dill, and sunflowers and ive been feeding them wild fox grape vines and they've been doing amazing! thank you for your videos they've given me so many ideas
