This is no different. Value isn’t just about utility it’s about what something represents, the irony is that the statue to me teaches that the greatest things in life aren’t measured by price, but by the meaning they hold, the story it leaves behind. How to Train Your Dragon carries a symbolic meaning. The dragon represents anything we fear, misunderstand, or try to control whether it is another person, a challenge, or even a part of ourselves. The story tells patience, trust, communication, and mutual respect and reminds us that the things we fear most can become our greatest strengths once we choose understanding over judgment. Toothless is a symbol of the unknown, the fears we inherit, the prejudices we accept without question, the ignorance we carry and the parts of life we instinctively try to conquer. The journey is not about mastering a dragon, but about learning that what we fear is often what we fail to understand. By choosing respect and care over violence reveals that the greatest battles are not fought against others, but within ourselves. I was happy to buy the statue it’s worth more to me than others would think. It’s merchandise and it’s a reminder of values I want to carry with me.
