Eastern Friesian dairy sheep can produce a surprising amount of milk for their size, and for us… it’s been a much more manageable system. Less feed, less space, easier handling—and not 5 gallons of milk a day overwhelming your kitchen. Don’t get me wrong—sheep aren’t perfect. You do have to stay on top of parasite management and not overcrowd your land. But if you’re looking for a more realistic, sustainable way to get milk… A sheep might make a lot more sense than people realize.
