Your skin barrier might be damaged, I would use the cerave daily moisturizer on your face. I have flaky patches like that as well and it helps a lot! Mine comes down to allergies to an acid that’s in alot of stuff. But that has done wonders

Cosmetic chemist here 👋 it is likely perioral dermatitis (would need to see a dermatologist to confirm) but using acids or physical exfoliants can exacerbate it. Look for serums/creams with azelaic acid and a sulfur cleanser. Those can be helpful! Also try more simple products that are barrier supporting. Less is more with perioral dermatitis 🩷

I had the EXACT same problem once! My face was so painfully dry and flaking off and I tried so many different products and the ONLY thing that helped was washing my face with Head and Shoulders shampoo! I did it for about 3-4 days and it helped majorly! Definitely worth a try!

perioral dermatitis!! Don’t use exfoliation because it irritates it use sensitive skin products like the la roche pose hydrating cleanser and a THICK moisturizer! Avoid using pimple patches or acne products:))
