How do the wires come out from under the vault so easy with all the weight on them? Same with the straps under the casket?

Why put a vault so deep? In NC the casket alone is only three underground. I’ve seen this and a funeral director confirmed that in NC three feet is the requirement. National cemeteries bury six feet.

In Deutschland begraben wir den Verstorbenen, bedeutet, die sargträger lassen den Sarg an Seilen herunter. Dann tritt jeder an das offene Grab mit dem Sarg darin, greift in eine oder beider der Schalen die daneben stehen (einmal Blütenblätter, ein mal Sand) und lässt es aus der Hand ins Grab gleiten. In der weiteren Bedeutung heißt dies, „wir haben ihn/sie gegraben“, weil jeder Sandkorn ja quasi zum begraben gehört.
