@jaxdeats: Let’s do the math. 👇 Step 1. Estimate your body fat percentage. Round up to be safe. I did my best with the AI relax… Step 2. Find your fat free mass. Current body weight x 0.75 = lean mass. At 250 pounds that’s 187.5 pounds of lean mass. Step 3. Find your target weight. Fat free mass divided by 0.9 = your weight at 10% body fat. That gives us 208.3 pounds. No this isn’t perfect but it gives us a good starting point… Step 4. Find out how much you need to lose. 250 minus 208.3 = 41.7 pounds to lose. Step 5. Figure out your timeline. At 2 pounds per week that’s 21 weeks. At 1 pound per week that’s 42 weeks, but you’ll definitely have to adjust along the way… Losing more than 2 pounds per week isn’t healthy and it isn’t sustainable. Now be smart. My weight at 10% body fat would be 122lbs. I would look sick at that weight lol.

Yeahhh this is really flawed. Your model here is assuming that muscle mass stays constant, but your body will try to use up muscle before fat. This formula might work a lot better if the person in question is consuming their goal weight in protein every single day and lifting weights, but you excluded that from your process. Weight on the scale doesn’t necessarily correlate to body fat percentage loss. You could lose 20 lbs but have your bfp go up or stay the same

This assumes that you only lose fat, and don’t lose or gain any muscle mass. For instance, I’m not trying to be 6’2 and 165 pounds so it becomes more about building muscle than purely losing fat mass.

I appreciate the elaborate video, it was very easy to follow! My question is…. My target weight is 156 pounds. How do you maintain strength when dropping that much weight? I’m currently 200 pounds.

Alright I'm 170 at I'd say 22 percent body fat. 170×.78=132.6, 132.6×.9= 147.3 So I gotta lose roughly 20 pounds to get to 10 percent body fat? That feels really small. I'm worried about losing too much muscle mass

Its kinda confusing. Im more like 40 or 50 % body fat. I currently weigh 330lbs. So i need to be at 275 to be at 10% body fat?

How would I get to 10% body fat if I’m not trying to lose too many pounds? I’m 180 and I can’t drop down to 150 due to sports reasons.
