been a Grey's fan from the beginning, it was messy and painful to watch because of how accurate it is. a lot of us knew from the beginning eventually Meredith and Christina were going to be confronted with this at some point. especially when Mer had kids. when it premiered people were very divided on this plot point. especially if it should have been included at all. a lot of stuff from Grey's may have not aged well but I strongly believe this has. I remember a lot of people defending Meredith, I always thought Christina had a valid point. I'm not sure how the Grey's community feels about this today but I think it's aged a lot better than some other things on the show.

The most unrealistic thing about this show was that Meredith didn’t get a nanny until Derek left for DC. I don’t blame Derek. He was ALWAYS the star. It’s part of why he and Addison broke up. Bailey was able to keep up in surgery bc Ben never needed to be a superstar. Callie had Arizona AND Mark. And Meredith purposely didn’t want to be like her mom. This was important to watch. They could EASILY afford a nanny, a food delivery service, and a housekeeper. She wanted to do it all and she didn’t have to. Derek was an asshole but Meredith could have easily fixed these issues. But she didn’t realize it until after he was gone.
