This to me is a prime example of what theater SHOULD be. The acting here is SUPERB even if the vocals aren’t 100%. The storytelling is ON POINT. People are so stuck on only wanting people who sing technically flawlessly meanwhile the actual characterization gets completely lost and the character itself isn’t believable. I am bored with flawless vocalists with mediocre character acting. This was absolute perfect casting.

For everyone hating on her voice, it’s honestly the song. It’s catchy but it isn’t a very ‘singy song’ I think her rage is perfectly fine for the song and you can tell she has a great voice. Also aside from that, her comedic timing and stage presence is FABULOUS

I performed Off Broadway mostly and this is a song that I’d say is more vibes than vocals…if you look at past performers it’s kinda th theme aside from storm who crushed the vocals and vibes but it doesn’t seem to be the main focus on this cast (obv yes you need to be able to sing but the energy is key here)

if you guys knew, Anne is a very goofy character and pretty much a comedy relief, Dylan did an amazing job!! I went in April and it was one the of best broadway shows I’ve ever seen
