Here are 5 mistakes keeping your outfits from looking cool — and how to fix them. 1. You’re not tucking or rolling Rolling sleeves makes blazers and shirts more relaxed. Try half-tucks, tucking in just the back or side, or a horizontal tuck. Small styling moves, big impact. 2. Your clothes are too small It’s hard to look cool when your clothes look uncomfortable. Don’t be afraid to size up, especially in jeans and trousers. Effortlessness comes from clothes that have room to breathe. Even fitted pieces should follow your body, not cling to it. 3. You’re putting statement pieces on a pedestal You bought that fun bag or trousers, now you’re too precious with it. Stop overthinking. Throw that bold bag with an outfit you think might clash — sometimes “the wrong piece” makes the whole look feel right and way cooler. 4. You’re wearing all cream and beige without contrast Head-to-toe cream with light accessories can feel dated. Add contrast with darker accessories and layers.
