I had weight loss surgery and suffered from hair loss for a bit. Nioxin hair fall defense system saved my life!

Nioxin is the absolute best. So many products of Nioxin help. I highly suggest using the whole line.

I take oral Minoxidil and Spironolactone now. Dermatologist put me on them both. I have this issue and I have PCOS prior to even being on Zepbound. 😅

hairstylist here- 95% of my clients on a glp lost hair. 95% of my clients with an ED also did (i struggled with one for years, happened to me!) as well clients who did weightloss surgery, and bodybuilders. our body doesn't know the difference between "good" rapid weight loss and "bad" rapid weightloss and reacts the same regardless. i hate to say this but the only time it ever " grows back" is when the weight loss plateus or stops. although vitamins/good hair products help there is no magic over the counter product that will make a huge difference, but youre doing the right thing tho going to a derm- they'll be able to do more intense treatments and testing! PRP and perscription shampoos seemed to help my clients the most but again, the only thing in my experience dealing with hundreds of women in this situation is stopping the weight loss

Get a red light laser cap, my derm recommended it to me since I didn’t want to use minoxidil, made my hair grow like a weed and super strong thick hairs too.

Ugh same here re: the GLP hair loss. I partnered with a leading endocrinologist to create a multivitamin to help support us on this journey. Coming soon 💛

I’ve been on oral minoxidil for 4 years for hair loss/thinning that started when I was 15 and I’m 29 now and my scalp is still completely visible. My hair grows better now and it’s definitely much healthier than it used to be even 3-4 years ago but I have very little regrowth after all this time, especially at my part. I’m a loss for words for what to do 🤷🏻♀️

GLP1 hair loss is almost always connected to a lack of protein intake.

It’s our food that has hormone mimickers in it (microplastics) along with what we heat our food in, etc. I lost half my hair when I got diagnosed with an auto immune kidney disease, I also had VSG & take a GLP1 to treat my PCOS. My hair is healthy & long but I had enough to lose. I swear by 10,000mcg straight Biotin (not hair skin & nails bc they only have 2,000mcg). I wash every other day with good shampoo (Kevin Murphy is my favorite but I also like drugstore Aussie too). I never use heat bc that hurts the follicle & also causes breakage. I knew with massive weight loss (100+ lbs) that I would lose some & I was ok with that.

I had the same issue and went to my derm to address this (prior to being on WL meds) and oral minxodil and spironolactane has saved my hair. I’ve been on it now for about 2 years. No side effects and truly amazed at how well it’s worked.

With GLPS if you aren’t getting your correct nutrients. Your body will stress out and you will lose hair regardless. Everyone I know that has been on a glp has frail hair now I don’t think it’s a coincidence.
