There are some things
you hope God will never bring up.

 In every person’s life,
 there may be one place
they never want anyone to know about.
 Maybe it was a relationship.
 Maybe it was a decision.
Maybe it was a night you still regret.
Maybe it is a sin you keep struggling with,
but you are afraid to tell anyone.

 You think:
If that thing had never happened,
 would my life be better?
If no one knows about it,
 wouldn’t that be better?

But the Bible did not skip over David’s story.
 Adultery.
 Deception.
 Covering it up.
 Even indirectly causing Uriah’s death.
The Bible did not beautify it.
And it did not delete it.
If God did not skip over David’s story,
then He probably will not skip over yours either.

 Why?
 Not to make people hopeless.
But to let us see this:
 After a person sins,
the most dangerous thing is not that God no longer wants them.
The most dangerous thing is that they begin to hide from God
and dare not return to Him.

 After David sinned,
he also tried to cover it up.
After Peter denied the Lord three times,
he went out and wept bitterly.
But they had one thing in common:
 God’s mercy did not stop.
God still gave them a chance to turn back.

 But please understand this clearly:
Grace is not a reason to keep sinning.
Grace is the way that gives people courage to return to God and repent.
God saves people not so they can continue living in sin,
but so He can bring them out of sin
and lead them back toward holiness.

 David did not simply say,
 “I was wrong,”
 and then leave it there.
He was truly broken before God,
and the rest of his life testified to his real repentance.
Peter also did not cry and then go back to his old way.
Later, he followed the Lord with true love
and walked a completely different path.

 So today,
if there is also a story inside you
that you are afraid to bring up,
 do not keep hiding.
 God knows your failure.
 God also knows your weakness.
But He is still willing to give you a chance to turn back.
God’s grace is greater than your failure.
But you must also let this grace
 bring you back before God,
not let it keep you staying in sin.

If you are also willing to return to God,
 write this in the comments:
 Lord, bring me back.

The Lord Jesus is coming soon.
Now is not the time to keep hiding.
Now is the time to return to God, truly repent,
and prepare to welcome the Lord.
