@bashifuirkashi: Jack Dorsey just published an article that every software engineer needs to read. The TL;DR: AI is replacing the function of management, not just automating tasks. For 2,000 years, corporate hierarchies existed because humans were the only option for routing information at scale. So we created: • hierarchy • middle managers • slow decision chains Now AI replaces that. No more layers. Just systems. And only 3 roles remain: • ICs (deep builders) • DRIs (problem owners) • Player-coaches Here’s the catch: Being an IC = being a deep expert If you’re just: • calling APIs • building basic RAG apps You’re replaceable. Top engineers understand: • how models work • how to optimize cost + latency • how to design real AI systems That’s the difference between $100k AI engineer vs $200k+ #jackdorsey #Tech #aiengineer #softwareengineer #ai
why do you think that machine learning is important? I consider myself a top 1% of the top 1% and I don't utilize in any way.

An article means nothing … tech bros deal in manifestos. They announce what they will do and push for and tell others to fall in line or else.

They will just hallucinate and other agents won’t know it did and the company that sold books is not an accounting company

Why are we pretending like we know this model works? The evidence has yet to find that this kind of model or mass scale AI adoption in software is 1 effective or 2 efficient. We need to return to a time when we didn't trust the thoughts of out of touch CEO billionaires.
