I think the problem is that you are making the stone fireplace your focal point. You have a big enough space to create zones… create a “comfy zone” with chairs by the fireplace and a “tv zone” on the other side.

Obviously, you don’t have that partial wall where the TV is at, but you could always utilize a bookshelf or some sort of a TV stand you could even keep the long couch currently closest to the windows bring the small couch next to it how you’ve had already in the end where the area rug is in this picture that would be facing your pony wall, where your stairs are at you could put a TV standthere

stop trying to center your fireplace. its big its awkward stop trying to make it work. make 1 path of travel around the living room. if the big couch has to be against the wall and you NEED a table, use the one where the legs go under the couch or use one built for the sofa arm. bring the furniture in, make it cozy, and ignore the fireplace

Officially annoyed at this point! Nothing is preventing you from putting the tv next to the window or in the corner! Add end tables with lamps, extra chair, plants, a proper sized area rug & move on!!!

Shift it all (including the large couch) so the small couch is more in front of the dog bed area and next to the beam. And shift the large couch so it’s more centered with the fireplace side. Tv in corner by window.

Buy a tv stand that has a tv mount attached to it and you can put it anywhere you want and move it around instead of attaching it to a wall

I don’t know maybe instead of focusing your furniture around the fireplace. Use the space directly across from where your dining room room is on that back wall of windows and add a stand for your TV and use maybe just some comfy chairs as a extra seating area by your fireplace.

Put a cabinet where the love seat is with tv on top, flip the love seat and move it against the window.

It feels disconnected because the beam is where the living should end. Move the big couch down further towards the window. Push the small couch forward until it is on the other side of the pole. Once you scoot the big couch down you can scoot the small one over (towards the kitchen) so there is enough space between it and the fire place. The space in front of the sliding door is not suppose to be a living space. It’s a traffic space, meant for walking through. The other side (the space near the windows is designed to be the living room. That’s why nothing has felt right so far. You’re working against the natural design!
