To each their own. After a 38-year career, comprising 22 years in the Army and 16 in federal service, I’ve been retired for nearly five years. I can honestly say I am thoroughly enjoying this chapter and feel incredibly satisfied with life.

3 1/2 months retired and as of now I have zero expectation of any if this. I’m loving every second away from my toxic ex work environment.

Retirement isn’t about routine, it’s about freeing yourself from the commitment of going to a job that most likely didn’t love or wanting to go to. It’s about escaping the rat race, the politics of life and dealing with the bullshit of a job. I couldn’t wait for retirement and now I focus on my health…a far cry from dealing with the endless bullshit of dealing with nonsense.

That's a personal problem. Many people won't have the option to stop working...ever

Poor mindset. The best thing I’ve ever done, and everyone should work toward this. Golf, golf, golf

This is my biggest fear. Hobbies are good. I like going to the gym too but it all seems like just killing time 😳. I enjoy working but being tethered to a job M-F is getting old too. 🤷♀️

We’re all different. I retired- haven’t regretted it for a single second. But, some folks need to work. Neither of us are wrong/right- do what works for you
