@natterhome: Garden Box instructions: 🌿🪵 This whole build is made from standard 8 ft boards and pretty simple cuts—nothing fancy going on here. Here’s what you’ll need to cut: • (1) 4x4x8’ post Cut it into four 2-foot pieces (3 cuts) → These are your corner posts • (6) 1x8x8’ boards Cut each one into one 5-foot piece and one 3-foot piece (just 1 cut each) → That gives you all your side boards • (2) 1x4x8’ boards Cut each into four 2-foot pieces (3 cuts per board) → 8 pieces total for the corner trim • (2) 1x6x8’ boards (top plates) Each board gets cut into two trapezoids with 3 cuts total: • Start with a 45° cut on one end • Measure 64 inches from the long point and make another 45° cut the opposite direction → that’s your long piece • Then take the leftover and make one more 45° cut → that’s your shorter piece (about 37 inches) → Each board gives you one long and one short trapezoid → So with 2 boards, you get all 4 pieces for the top The cuts should look like this: /___________\_____/ Those angles are mirrored, so you’re able to get both pieces out of one board without wasting much. Putting it together: • Set your 4x4 posts as the corners • Attach the 1x8 boards horizontally to build up the sides • Add the 1x4 pieces as corner trim to clean everything up • Then cap it off with the angled top plates That’s it! Mostly straight cuts, a few angles, and it goes together pretty easily 🌿 #raisedgardenbed #gardenbox #diygardenbed #springgarden
