@brutalismappreciation: The Hokkaido Centennial Memorial Tower located in Nopporo Forest Park, Sapporo, Japan. It was built in 1970 to mark the 100th anniversary of the modernization and settlement of Hokkaido. The 100-meter-tall structure was designed by architect Sachio Otani in a Brutalist style. The curved lines symbolize Hokkaido's endless growth, while the uneven walls represent the struggles of early settlers against wind and snow.
