I was stuck at 8K followers for at least 5 YEARS 😭😭 Then I finally realised I wasn’t struggling because I “wasn’t good enough” — I was just approaching growth completely wrong. Here’s what changed: 1. Stop beating a dead horse. Focus on what’s actually working right now instead of constantly trying to reinvent the wheel. Creativity matters, but when you’re starting out, you need to learn the rules of the game before you try to break them. Study what’s already working and make your own version. 2. Quality matters. You can have the best idea in the world, but if your content looks low quality, people are less likely to stop and watch. I think people overcomplicate the “aesthetic” part — you don’t need a crazy setup, but your content should be crisp, well-lit and visually appealing. If you can, shoot in 4K and make your videos look intentional. 3. Shorter content is your friend. Social media is an attention game. Your goal is to keep someone watching for as long as possible, so make it easier on yourself. Get to the point quickly, cut the fluff and keep your videos short enough that people actually want to finish them. 4. It’s a numbers game. Aesthetics matter, but if your main goal is growth, you need to pay attention to the data. Look at the tiny signals. Which posts are bringing you followers? Which ones are getting the most views? Which hooks are getting people to stop? Do more of what is already working. 5. They were right about the hook. 😭 A good hook really can make or break a piece of content. You have seconds to convince someone to stop scrolling, so make those seconds count. Study viral content and pay attention to exactly how they open their videos. The biggest difference between being stuck and finally growing was realising that I didn’t need to become a completely different creator — I needed to become a smarter one. 🫶🏽 And if you want the EXACT strategy I used — including my Trial Reels strategy, hooks, posting schedule + how I monetise as a full-time creator — comment “PLAYBOOK” below and I’ll send you the details. 🫶🏽 #instagramgrowth #instagramtips #contentcreatortips #influencertips
