@aurifil: Hi, it’s Claire… final part of this project ✨ I went from no plan… to a cushion I actually LOVE, and this is how it came together: Fabric is Flourish and Bloom by Helen Prior, paired with the Lottie Cushion pattern — and honestly, everything started clicking from the moment I began. For piecing, I used Aurifil 50wt (2311) — my go-to. If you’re sewing curves, this is the one. Smooth seams, no bulk, just easy. Then quilting… my favourite part 🧵 I started with 50wt… but then tried 12wt on the machine (with 50wt in the bobbin) and I’m not exaggerating — I’m obsessed. Longer stitch length, slow stitching, following the curves with my walking foot… and letting the fabric guide the whole process. Switched thread colours, added depth, quilted the back too… because at that point I couldn’t stop 😅 For me, quilting is the moment everything transforms — and this one?
