@meghan.kimberley: We did everything “right.” Went to school. Got the degree. Got the job. Started climbing the ladder like they told us to. And then somewhere around 33 we looked up and realized the ladder was leaning against the wrong wall. The house? Can’t afford it. The “stable career”? Barely covers rent. The life plan they handed us in 2005? Expired. So now here we are 🤘mid-thirties, questioning every decision we’ve ever made, pivoting careers, blowing up our entire lives, and genuinely having no clue what comes next. Not because we failed. Because the playbook failed us. The path they sold us doesn’t lead where it used to. So we’re building new ones. Messier ones. Scarier ones. But at least they’re ours. If you’re in your rip-it-all-apart era right now just know 💕you’re not behind. You’re not broken. You’re just the first generation that had to figure out the old blueprint doesn’t work anymore. Welcome to the great unlearning.
