we allow play dates but no over nights lol not until she has a phone and can call or text me to get her at any time no matter what. and it's literally with 2 families only 😅 we trying

If I do have one, I ask another mother to come over with all the kids. I’d never be left alone with kids that aren’t mine for fear of something going wrong or someone accusing someone of something. But to be honest, I didn’t have my child until I was 40. So by the time this came up, I was already tired. 🤣

Always have the kids at your house!! That’s how I did it and they had friends over all the time. I just told the kids if it’s okay with their parents they can come here but you can’t go over there cause of my work 😂

I’m in the same boat, good thing is so far most parents don’t have an issue with sending their children to my house for play dates. I don’t do sleepovers my house or vice versa. I’m definitely happy being that mom in that home with all the happy kids.

Usually I tag team with another mom to stay with us over night and send my husband off for the night . If it’s my son I leave and my husband had another dad stay over makes parents more comfortable.

My kid just started asking if his friends could come over and I would say yes. Most parents really don't care. I on the other hand need to know the kid and parents for a little while first. And sleepovers are a hard no until they're 12+ and have a cellphone they can contact me anytime on. But everyone is different. Todays world is different, kids see and know so much more, that I like to make sure they're good influences on my kids.

I had to meet the parents and get a vibe first. And always with play date at least once. My daughter was in 2nd grade at her first sleepover but we had known the kid/parents since kindergarten so I was comfortable with it.. as much as I could be. Hell I’m more concerned now at 13 for sleepovers than I was at 8-9.
