I talked about this with some friends yesterday, I have NEVER wanted kids, I am turning 30 and still don’t want them. They said “maybe if you meet the right person”, I told them “the right person for me doesn’t want kids either”. They looked like they discovered the moon 🤣

I think for me, I would like kids but I think I would not want them unless I had a stable partner who is emotionally intelligent.

“not wanting kids” can stem from so many different things. i wouldn’t want kids unless i met a responsible partner that i know would be intentional with raising good humans. meeting “the right man” could simply mean “i know raising children is a lot of work and it’s not something that i presently want”— and that can be changed based on the circumstances/ partner. nothing embarrassing about changing your mind, especially if you find the “”right”” person

I’ve always said I don’t want kids since I myself was a child. Once, one of my best friends had just had her first kid, and when I went to visit and picked up the child, she immediately say “Maybe now you’ll change your mind”…. I’m the oldest child/cousin so I’ve seen plenty of babies, it’s not yours that is going to change my mind 😅

Honestly this gir at my work said to me ‘You will change your mind about not wanting kids when you find the right person’. Like I am in the perfect relationship with my partner of 12 years and definitely won’t be changing my mind 😂

I think for SOME people it is finding the right person. I did NOT want kids, my bf makes me reconsider sometimes, but he also doesn’t want any, and I’m totally fine with still not having any. It’s more of a “if it happens, I’m okay with it.” But I’d still be happy being Childless
