@pt_with_jt: SHOULDER WEEK EP. 2: 3 Phases of Shoulder Stability Phase 1: training ribcage control with the rib stack (your shoulder blade glides on the ribcage so it needs that stable base to move smoothly on Phase 2: mastering the scapular posterior tilt motion (crucial for overhead mobility and takes a TON of pressure off the anterior shoulder in daily movements) Phase 3: gradually progressing through rotator cuff strengthening (you have to train the rotator cuff to fire at different positions or you’ll stay limited with what you can do in the gym pain-free) This was the difference between a successful return to activity and having constant flare-ups when I returned to weightlifting. I work as an online strength coach helping to guide people through these phases individualizing their exercises and determining when it’s appropriate for them to progress. Comment “SHOULDER” if you’re ready to get your shoulder health back. #shoulderrehab #shoulderdislocation #shoulderinjury #shoulderinjuryrecovery #shoulderpainrelief
So I have a weird thing with my left shoulder when doing a dead bug with like. 5 pound weight my left shoulder gets tight and kind of painful in the front and back then kind of skips a beat it like loses tension for the hardest part of the movement going down then is weak all the way back up.

What if I have a pretty serious case of scoliosis? I’ve been weight training for over a year but I’m getting discouraged because of the pain in my left shoulder and lower back even though I’ve been working on my bracing through my core. Am I a lost cause?

Why didn't you have to take your shirt off for the rotator cuff exercises? ... In all seriousness, very helpful.

This is great. Do you have anything on distal biceps tendonitis? I get pain in my medial bicep from heavy back exercises? I suspect the issue is with my shoulder. Thanks in advance.
