@stacyonpurpose: Not gonna lie, I was that white girl that moved to Mexico thinking groceries would be cheaper… but standing in the store, I seem to always be the one double checking prices 💀 Some things are a great deal, but others? I pay the same or more than I did in the US even, cause ya know, import fees. Nobody really prepared me for that part. And Pablo hadn’t been back to Mexico in over twenty years, so he had no idea either! #livingabroad #lifeinmexico #movingtomexico #mexicovlog
Please don’t get me wrong but if you get alpura instead of borden and mccormick instead of smuckers and in general local brands instead of imports you’ll spend less and help the local economy

I do 99% of my shopping at Bodega Aurrera. Cut my grocery bill in half from when I was shopping at La Comer

People forget to compare the local wages to what they are buying. They compare the wages they make in the USA to grocery prices in Mexico when the reality is that most people in Mexico are making much much lower than the average U.S. wages

I learned to shop Mexican brands instead of imported. Learned early on when we were exploring grocery stores. We try to stock up on produce at the tianguis then a few things at Costco.
