Walmart employee here: as long as it was sold and shipped by walmart they should have price matched. I’d call 1800 walmart so it gets sent back to store management so they can review the policy with associates. Next time I’d also ask for a manager if they say no. The only thing they don’t match is clearance or a price from another store.

This happened to me the other day!! Literally left all my stuff at the register, ordered the same exact stuff online and they had to SHIP IT same day to my house. Showed up 4 hours later shipped, not delivery, packaged and shipped on my door step. The math isn’t mathing.

It used to be that shopping online was more expensive , not anymore. Like 95% of items are less expensive online than they are in store. It makes no sense! It’s like they are trying to get us to shop online instead.

Companies want as few customers in the store as possible now. If they can hire fewer personnel and automate it, they will. The corporation I work for is really trying to push autoship right now

Yep!! Been there. I wanted a certain energy drink. They couldn’t find it in store. On the app, they had it in stock. Ordered it online and walked out to the parking lot for them to bring it to me. 😳 And it was cheaper!

I hate Walmart! Not having prices on things is stupud! I don’t want to down load the app. They should at least have scanners. It is not worth it to me to shop there.

Not only this, they slap “clearance” stickers on items and the price is WAY inflated. I saw a Melissa and Doug sandwich counter in “clearance” for $75 at my Walmart. I knew that couldn’t be right. Target has it regular price for $40. Then I check the Walmart app - “online only” price is $31. It’s actually insane how inconsistent their prices are. I hate to stick to target and Amazon, but this is why.

@homedepot issue here wanted patio chairs, no one would get them from the giant stack for me. Clerk told me to go out to my car and do a curbside pickup order - that would trigger the line order fulfillment person to get them for me 🙄

I think they are wanting to be able to track everything. They rather use the app in your phone because they are tracking the phones your purchase is literally everything. That’s what the data centers are for.

It’s so messed up. Things should be cheaper in person if there is going to be a different at all. That would save the business money (in shipping costs and employee manual labor costs). Instead they force you to do stuff online, it costs them more, and they have to raise prices of everything to sustain. You can’t make it make sense.
