A globe is technically the most exact physical replica at scale,  but it still guides your attention in strange ways due to the limitations of your eyes etc.  That’s why I’m so fascinated by the Dymaxion map, invented by Buckminster Fuller. It unfolds the world in a way that makes the deeper structure easier to see.

🙄 The triangle map is "better" than a globe because a globe doesn't let you see the entire world at once and "makes it look like.......". I get reality is confusing.....but the globe (yes, could be oval and have better vertical differences) is LITERALLY the closest representation we can have.
