My mother has Huntingtons disease. I am 24 years old and I found out 4 years ago about the disease. I never really got on with my mum growing up as she wasn’t nice to me. Not knowing why. I now care for my mum and we have a lovely relationship. I can relate so much to what you are saying. I just want to say from a stranger I am so proud of you. Sending my love 💖

I sent you a message asking about this specifically. My step mom has huntingtons disease and we don’t have a relationship anymore. I’ve tried and tried and she’s pushed me away and wants nothing to do with me. My Dad has told me multiple times it’s because of the HD but idk know how to take it. She was diagnosed about 10 years ago. But she’s treated me horribly for 20.

My mom was exactly like that too I moved far away to my dad until finally finding out the Huntington disease is to blame not my mom and we had a beautiful relationship years in the end
