current Ai models still can not handles real world product softwares in prod . so we have 2 problems either we develop the ai models them selfs or figure the gap between ai capabilities and real world software. either ways software engineering is still a high paid salary job

The only reason to justify your high salary is supply and demand which isn’t even true anymore.

With AI, good software engineers will get paid even more, because it will make them a lot more productive, especially for engineers with years of production system, and due to company cuts the budget for junior engineers, which will make experienced one even more scarce in the near future/
