@nursecourtneyg: Strawberry breastmilk 🍓😳 If you ever see a light pink/rust tint in your milk, it can be shocking but it’s often from a tiny bit of blood mixing in (usually from nipple damage). The 3 most common reasons I see: 1. Cracked/traumatised nipples 2. Latch + positioning needs adjusting (baby pulling/damaging) 3. Early milk changes / sensitive nipples (especially early days) The good news: in most cases, it’s still safe to feed baby but if baby refuses the taste, don’t waste it… milk bath time 🛁🤍 If this is happening to you, don’t white-knuckle it.
